Edinburgh Weather

The festival city may have many differences from the rest of its Scottish counterparts but unfortunately the weather is not one of them.
Like the rest of Scotland, Edinburgh enjoys variable weather conditions all year round.

Between the months of April and September is when Edinburgh enjoys most of its “summer” weather. However it’s important to be prepared. Always have something warm in a bag as the temperature can drop rapidly and there is always a chance of rain.

Our advice is to live like a local and embrace the brisk Scottish weather. Wrap up warm in the winter and don your t-shirts in the summer.

The warmth of the Scottish people makes up for cold night air.

Our Weather Guide shows you a 7 day forecast for Edinburgh as well as the monthly average temperatures in the City.
